Shower, shave, and exfoliate 12 to 24 hours before your appointment, not the morning of. Your skin needs a minute to settle. On the day of, come with clean bare skin and skip lotion, oil, deodorant, makeup, and perfume, because all of it blocks the solution. Wait the full development time Sandy gives you, then rinse in warm water with no soap and no scrubbing until the water runs clear. Pat dry, never rub.
